Welcome to the AJCC Smokin' Salmon Swim Team
Smokin' Salmon swim team is a family-oriented program. We encourage swimmers to work toward achieving their fullest potential while supporting and encouraging their teammates.
Team spirit and camaraderie is essential to our success. We achieve success through hours of practice, support of team members, acceptance of new challenges and greater responsibility.
We provide a great coach-to-swimmer ratio to ensure that each swimmer is given the personal attention, instruction, encouragement needed to reach his/her potential.
Smokin' Salmon swim team is open for children ages 5-18. For 2024, the fee is $250 with a $3 operational fee that will be paid toward the Swimtopia website management company.

Meet your coaches!
Head Coach Amelia Brooke
Amelia is an upcoming freshman student at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville to study Early Elementary Education. Amelia is the head coach, and she swam competitively for 6 years. Amelia has been a lifeguard for 5 years and a coach on the team for 3 years, as well as teaching private swim lessons for 3 years. Assistant Coach Effie Fellers
Effie is a rising junior at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she studies accounting. She has worked at the AJCC for 4 years as a lifeguard and is currently a pool manager. Effie has worked with the swim team in the past and is excited to be an official team member! Please feel free to email [email protected]
Assistant Coach Abby Quartararo
Abby is a freshman at the Bearden High school, and she has swam for 6 years. She is still an active swimmer for her high school. She has worked at the pool for a year and is now officially joining our coaching staff!
Jr. Coach Emily Frost
Emily is an upcoming sophomore at Tennessee Technological University studying Exercise Science with a concentration in Pre-Athletic Training. Emily swam competitively for 12 years and has been working with the Salmon for 2 summers now!
Practice Schedule
Morning practices will be held on Weekdays (Monday-Friday) and will start promptly at the following times:
7:45 am - 8:15 am for Littles/Non Swimmers
8:00 am - 9:00 am for Big Kids/Lane Swimmers
If you are unsure where your child fits into this breakdown, please see one of the Coaches and we will help you find your place!
Afternoon Practices will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and will start promptly at the following time:
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
(For kids enrolled in the MCDC summer camp, we will have a coach bring them down to practice promptly after camp,we must have a signed waiver on file before camp will release your child(ren) to swim team. This waiver is available as part of registration on SwimTopia, or ask a coach.)
